I appreciate all of this, and Protect Democracy’s solid work in general. Can you all reply here and maybe also put something out in general on the Trump administration’s rejection of international election monitors from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) (after they have monitored every election since 2002)?

As this Truth Out piece highlights (https://truthout.org/articles/trump-blocks-international-board-from-conducting-oversight-of-midterm-elections/), the DOJ is attempting to send 1,000 election monitors to the polls (which is over 250 more than there were in the 2024 presidential election: https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/doj-sued-for-records-on-unprecedented-plan-to-deploy-1000-election-monitors-in-midterms/). Other pieces have noted that there will be a lot of election observers from each party, but third party observers seem key, especially with this expected surge of likely politicized DOJ staff.

Maybe you all can share what other third party observers will be present and to what extent, and any perspective on the loss of OSCE observers.
