I'm pleased to read your cautiously optimistic view of things. And that seems about right to me, as my own pessimism has declined over the past few months.

Your two "core pillars" for 2026 also make sense to me.

Thank you for your work for a TRULY patriotic America, not the faux version put out by Trump and crew.

I think the tire is turning Trump is losing support lost Indiana looking more incoherent and bitter resentment man so I think we’re on a track to having a major sweep in 2026 and then we can seek justice against those who perpetuated this misery!!

Encouraging article. Thank you for all of the links. I have been working on many pro-democracy fronts (including contributing heavily to Protect Democracy) and sometimes feel my efforts are in vain. I am politically independent so I'll offer this: A blue wave may be the same as a red wave if the next president enters office with all of the executive powers President Trump has accrued. There is a difference between a fascist and a socialist. There is no difference between a fascist dictator and a socialist dictator.

Excellent article! Well-researched, superbly written, and uplifting in delivery. This is precisely the news more American citizens need to receive. Please tell me how I can help with delivering your inspirational, uplifting, and truly patriotic information to other citizens who deeply need these organizing principles in order to join the momentum of If You Can Keep It. The recent progress against the current authoritarian administration and your proposed path forward are all well and good. But let's face it, all these pro-democracy actions are just crisis management. The surge of authoritarianism and oligarchic power in the U. S. is indeed a "constitutional crisis" because we have been shown that without significant amendment, our current constitution is insufficient to protect our democracy against the modern forces working to destroy it. Protecting voting rights and fusion voting might, in time, produce a political environment that could produce the necessary amendments, but I don't believe that we have the luxury of the time required to let these effects play out. The required scale and speed of change are revolutionary, not evolutionary.
