I don’t want to be pedantic about an otherwise important article, but we need to “defuse” election misinformation, not “diffuse” it. The former word, defuse, allows us to take away the power of that information. Diffusing, in contrast, is more akin to spreading it out in a less concentrated form.

Great job Amanda! Love seeing you on the front lines. Miss you on the Bulwark stuff, but glad to see you on some news shows. I think you should be the NYT editor and get some real news in there. Seems like it has been neutered the last couple years.

One aspect of lying that drives me nuts - the user sees it as final. They’ve boxed their brain inside a cage of certainty.
