It is really important that ordinary citizens not get depressed and hopeless. Most of us are limited in how many checks we can send. Steps that are doable by ordinary concerned citizens will be helpful.
I’m looking forward to reading this series. I hope that you will also start putting some work into a framework for how to approach restoring our democracy when/if anti-authoritarian forces regain power in the US. It seems clear to me that there was a huge missed opportunity in 2021 to make big reforms and prevent our current predicament. We need, in effect, a Project 2029 that will restore the rule of law and hold people accountable for their role in subverting our government.

Use force to depose the dictator (Germany, Italy, Japan)
